Fields Of Opportunity
Overview:
A collaboration between Napa Valley Grapegrowers, Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, Napa Valley Unified School District, St. Helena Unified School District and Calistoga Joint Unified School District, Fields of Opportunity is an innovative mentorship program connecting NVG members with local high school students interested in pursuing a career in the vineyard & wine industry. Students will have an opportunity to work with two Napa Valley Grapegrowers' members throughout the summer to learn various aspects of the vineyard business. Topics to include: viticulture, vineyard operations, mechanics and specialty training, safety & HR, winery and cellar work, hospitality & more!
The Program:
Students participate in an 8-week rotational paid experience, in a specific area of vineyard management, farm work, ag mechanics, or customer service at each partner organization.

Mandatory weekly soft skills workshop every Monday from 9:30 am - noon

Napa County High School, St Helena, and Calistoga students (16 years or older)
Interview:
Interviews will be held at the Napa Valley Grape Growers Office 831 Latour Court, Suite A, Napa, on the week of April 20 from 3-5 pm.
