Building Up Opportunity
Overview:
Students will spend 8 weeks rotating between 8 different areas with NVUSD's Maintenance and Operation department. These areas include irrigation, grounds, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, carpentry, HVAC and painting. Each team of students will have a mentor for the rotation who is an expert in the field and is available to answer questions as needed and provide insight on the career trajectory of the positions they are observing. This is designed for students to see if the trades are a career of interest.
The Program:
Students spend 8 weeks in a rotational paid experience, between at least 4 key departments within the trades learning the day to day operations of each area.

This opportunity is inclusive to all high school students 16 and older in NVUSD.

Interviews will be held at 2425 Jefferson St, Napa, on April 22nd, 2020 from 2 - 5 PM. Room 139 Ed Center
